We are seeking a compliance representative for the P & R Compliance Department to assist the VP of Compliance. The role involves serving as a compliance consultant for complex inquiries, maintaining the company's 38a-1 program, and supporting compliance for variable product lines. You will lead the implementation of complex regulations and business initiatives.
Your responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and analyzing research requests.
- Monitoring regulatory activity and advising management on impactful items.
- Managing compliance implementation of new processes.
- Providing compliance support for operations, including process reviews, legal research, electronic transaction compliance, quarterly statements, and mailroom exceptions.
- Maintaining the company's 38a-1 program, including legal inventory, policy documents, procedures, risk assessments, and training.
- Supporting variable product lines by monitoring regulatory developments, developing compliance policies, conducting risk assessments, collaborating on product design, and serving as a subject matter expert.
Required Experience, Education, Certification/Training:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field; JD and FINRA license preferred.
- 5-7 years experience with life insurance and annuities, with strong knowledge of annuities, universal life, and variable universal life insurance.
- Experience with testing, reporting, and procedural enhancements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with databases.
- Self-motivated with multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
Salary range for this position is $75,000 to $105,000, with additional incentive opportunities based on performance. Benefits include health, dental, vision, mental health support, paid time off, parental leave, disability coverage, pension, 401(k) with matching, and wellbeing programs.
