Job summary

BWMC is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the general summary role within its clinical nursing team. The role requires >12 months of RN experience, Maryland licensure, and a commitment to professional development, patient care, and unit governance across a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Maryland RN licensure required prior to orientation.
• At least 1 year of RN experience required.
• Professional Certification encouraged.
• Employees hired on or after July 1, 2018 must complete a BSN within 5 years from date of hire/transfer.
• If there is a gap in applied nursing experience of 5 years or more a refresher course within past 6 months is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently provides and coordinates care for patients within a clinical specialty.
• Participates in unit governance and teamwork with multidisciplinary care services.
• Utilizes evidence-based practice and Teach Back for patient education.
• Learns and uses computer systems to manage patient information.
• Lead or precept junior staff and support professional development initiatives.
