Job summary

Honda Dev. and Mfg. of Am.,LLC is seeking a business system expert to support the North American GALC platform across regional plants for standardized, robust processes that maximize value.

You will lead cross-functional efforts with plant, IT, and regional engineering, document system changes, ensure UAT timing, and help develop a training program for system use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a process/manufacturing engineering, industrial or systems engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Systems with automotive focus.
• Experience with systems technology, business analysis, project management, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of standardized GALC strategies for NA region.
• Lead small projects and collaborate with plant, IT, and regional engineering teams.
• Ensure system standards are documented, created, and maintained.
• Complete testing, verification, and documentation of changes; participate in UAT timing.
• Contribute to a standard training program for system use.

Job Purpose

Support North American (NA) regional manufacturing Line Control system (GALC) as a business system expert by supporting the development and direction of system strategy, standardization and diffusion across all North American manufacturing plants ensuring robust, repeatable, and controlled processes are in place to maximize business value and support plant characteristics enhancement.

Key Accountabilities

• Support the development and implementation of strategies including plans & targets to standardize, improve the business operating capabilities of the GALC system for the region.
• Lead projects/themes of limited complexity and scope through collaboration with team (plant, IT, regional engineering) including current system enhancements and feasibility studies for future products.
• Work effectively with local plant departments and regional IT to ensure system standards are created, documented, and sustained
• Complete testing, verification, and documentation of system changes. Confirm system requirements are met during appropriate UAT timing and assure countermeasure application on system before change release.
• Participate in the development of a standard training program for system use and deliver when required

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

• Minimum education:
• Bachelors degree related to process, manufacturing management, industrial or systems engineering or other equivalent degree or required experience.
• Minimum work experience:
• At kleast 3 or more years experience in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Systems with a focus on the automotive industry
• Systems technology experience, knowledge of process engineering, business analysis skills, project management, process project design & implementation, change management, MS Office.

Workstyle

• This is an onsite job. One remote workday per week may be possible with prior departmental approval
