Position Summary: The Regional Business Leader for Acadia’s Rare Disease Franchise is a key leadership role responsible for driving the success of our first rare disease brand. This leader will manage, inspire, and develop a team of Area Business Managers, while maximizing regional revenue and market penetration. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to energize their team around a shared vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team: Recruit, develop, and retain top talent; inspire and motivate; provide coaching and feedback; recognize and address performance issues; develop talent through personalized growth plans.
  • Drive business and operational excellence: Develop strategic and tactical plans; utilize analytics to understand market dynamics; establish performance metrics; understand local markets and emerging trends.
  • Foster collaboration and organizational alignment: Partner with internal teams; collaborate on resource development; contribute to organizational projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • For Regional Business Leader: minimum 8 years in pharma or life sciences; 3+ years in rare disease or specialty sales; 3+ years in sales leadership.
  • For Senior Regional Business Leader: minimum 12 years in pharma or life sciences; 3+ years in rare disease or specialty sales; 5+ years in sales leadership.
  • Proven leadership and coaching skills; ability to build trust across organizations; track record of exceeding business objectives; strong interpersonal skills; willingness to travel up to 70%; valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements: Regular standing, walking, sitting, and handling equipment; occasional lifting up to 20 pounds; ability to travel overnight and work after hours as needed.

Salary Range: $176,000—$220,000 USD, plus discretionary bonus and equity.
