Shifts: Both Day and Night shifts are available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide maintenance support for ammonia refrigeration, HCFC systems, hot water, compressed air, and steam systems with minimal supervision. Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and support safety and training initiatives. Must understand boiler theory, RETA Operator I, and IIAR schematics. Ability to pass a HAZ-MAT physical, become certified as an Emergency Responder Technician Level, and participate in the Emergency Response Team is required. Support training of junior technicians and minimize downtime due to equipment failure.

Requirements:

• Education: 1 year of industrial maintenance education preferred or enrolled in technical school; RETA Operator 1 certification required; RETA Operator 2 and 3 preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in industrial ammonia refrigeration or equivalent.
• Computer Skills: Basic skills necessary; ability to learn CMMS.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required.

Special Skills:

• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 75 lbs.
• Stand for up to 12 hours, work in confined/tall spaces, climb, operate lifts, bend, stoop.
• Perform repetitive gripping, pushing, pulling; overhead work; work in varying temperatures.
• Basic math skills; knowledge of pneumatics, PLCs, motor controls, shop equipment desirable.
