Job summary

Lennox International in Stone Mountain, GA is seeking a Product Development Engineer to design and develop commercial refrigeration equipment, including condensing units and air-cooled condensers. You will size components, design piping, and run tests to meet safety and certification standards.

You will coordinate a cross-functional team, manage multiple projects, and interact with suppliers and customers to translate requirements into engineered solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (preferred).
• 3+ years in refrigeration/HVAC design and development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop commercial refrigeration equipment (condensing units, unit coolers, air-cooled condensers).
• Size and select system components (compressors, valves, motors, heat exchangers).
• Design refrigerant piping and calculate refrigeration loads.
• Develop test procedures and qualification plans to meet UL/NSF standards.
• Lead multi-stage product development projects and coordinate with CAD designers and lab staff.
