Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair within Walmart facilities across local stores. The role uses commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, and power tools to complete jobs.

Minimum qualifications include 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and EPA certification; 6 years with an AAS in HVAC/R is preferred. Valid driver’s license and 18+ years with HS diploma are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration with AAS in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (preferred).
• Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
• 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or Walmart store experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations per Walmart safety policy.
