Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring an experienced Reefer Technician to service, diagnose, and repair refrigerated transport equipment and fleet vehicles in Fort Wayne, IN. You will work a day shift with full-time hours and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Toolbox and essential tools must be owned.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and refrigerant systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair refrigeration units and diagnose issues using OEM software.
• Read wiring diagrams and schematics for units.
• Perform electrical diagnostics using a multimeter.
• Program microprocessors and reclaim refrigerant with reclaiming machine.
• Service truck systems: cooling, fuel, drive train, brakes, suspension.
• Conduct PMs and DOT inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Roadside service, tire repairs, and equipment cleaning.
