United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Staff Offensive Security Engineer to plan, execute red team assessments across applications, infrastructure, and physical environments, and strengthen detection and response with engineering and security collaboration.

The role focuses on threat modeling, tooling, and incident readiness, requiring strong communication and 6+ years in red team operations. In-person work is expected at multiple US offices (Bellevue, NY, Denver, Menlo Park).

Qualifications

• 6+ years of red team or advanced penetration testing
• Mentoring or supporting security engineers
• Strong written and verbal communication across engineers to executives
• Deep understanding of network protocols (DNS, TCP/IP)
• Experience with MacOS and Linux
• Experience with modern stack attacks (CI, containers, cloud) and hardening guidance
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and security fundamentals of access and identity
• Ability to work with distributed teams
• Proactive in fixing security issues, not just identifying them

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute red team exercises and long-term assessments
• Perform threat modeling and penetration testing across apps, infrastructure, and corporate environments
• Develop scripts/tools to automate security testing
• Lead security incidents when findings require it
• Partner with detection and response teams to improve incident readiness
• Communicate findings clearly to engineers and executives
• Mentor Offensive Security team members
• Drive adversarial simulations with security teams
