Job summary

CommIT Enterprises, Inc. seeks a Red Hat Linux Engineer to join the team in Quantico, VA.

The successful candidate will design and implement ACAS for GEN networks, operate and maintain the Linux infrastructure, and provide training to operators and IA personnel to maintain ACAS tool functionality. Responsibilities include patching, configuring STIGs, documenting designs with IPs, hostnames, and locations, creating network diagrams in Visio, maintaining Nessus scanners and PVS connectivity,

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 IAT III or IAM II certification required.
• 7+ years' Linux (RHEL) administration in an enterprise environment.
• RHEL 8.x+ experience; virtualization with vSphere/ESXi.
• Strong SSH troubleshooting and OS hardening knowledge.
• Proficient in LVM, disk space management, and patching/RPMs.
• Experience with VMware/vSphere and SSL/TLS concepts.
• Familiar with Ansible and Ansible roles.
• Knowledge of CSTIGs, IAVA, CAS, and related DoD cybersecurity practices.
• Ability to design, document, and implement ACAS solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install and patch OS and applications per STIGs for ACAS deployments.
• Assess and optimize ACAS implementations across GEN networks.
• Document design steps with IPs, FQDNs, and locations.
• Create network diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
• Maintain Nessus scanners and PVS connectivity to Security Center.
• Develop and update SOPs for client ACAS solutions.
• Provide reports and analytics as required.
• Build Linux servers from provided DISA ISO images.
