Qualifications

  • Oncology recruiting experience preferred.
  • Proven success recruiting Manager to Director-level professionals.
  • Strong full-cycle recruiting background with in-house or agency exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full recruiting lifecycle from intake to offers and pre-employment activities.
  • Handle 15–20 active requisitions with potential peak period spikes.
  • Collaborate with senior hiring leaders to define strategy and needs.
  • Recruit for Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Biostatistics.
  • Source, screen, and present qualified candidates with high quality standards.
  • Build talent pipelines through proactive sourcing and market research.
  • Provide insights and feedback to hiring managers on candidates and timelines.
  • Set realistic expectations on timelines, availability, and market conditions.
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain clear documentation throughout the process.
  • Assist with offer development and compensation discussions; coordinate background checks.
  • Partner with external vendors and sourcing resources as needed.
  • Develop strong relationships with HR partners and hiring teams.

Job Title: Senior Recruiter III
Industry: Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical
Location (city, state): Alameda, CA
Assignment Type: 12-Month Contract with potential for extension and/or conversion
Pay: $50 - $60 /hour
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; flexible schedule. Primarily onsite, with some flexibility available after the initial onboarding period.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruiter with a strong background in biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical recruiting. This individual will manage full-cycle recruitment for specialized clinical and scientific positions while serving as a trusted recruiting partner to hiring managers and senior leaders.
The ideal candidate is strategic, proactive, and comfortable independently managing complex searches. This role emphasizes thoughtful candidate assessment, strong stakeholder relationships, and quality hiring decisions rather than simply moving requisitions through the process quickly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, from position intake and sourcing through interviews, offers, and pre-employment activities.
  • Handle approximately 15–20 active requisitions, with the ability to manage higher volume during peak periods.
  • Partner with senior hiring leaders to understand business needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Recruit for specialized functions such as Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Biostatistics, and related areas.
  • Identify, screen, and present qualified candidates while maintaining a high standard for candidate quality.
  • Develop talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, and market research.
  • Provide hiring managers with recruiting insights, candidate feedback, and recommendations.
  • Establish realistic expectations around hiring timelines, candidate availability, and market conditions.
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain clear documentation throughout the hiring process.
  • Assist with offer development and compensation discussions as appropriate.Complete or coordinate background checks and other required pre-employment processes.
  • Partner with external recruiting vendors and sourcing resources when needed.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with HR partners and hiring teams.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments.
  • Experience recruiting for clinical, scientific, drug development, or related specialized functions.
  • Oncology recruiting experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience recruiting Manager through Director-level professionals.
  • Strong full-cycle recruiting background.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple complex requisitions simultaneously.
  • Corporate/in-house recruiting experience strongly preferred.
  • Agency recruiters may be considered if they can demonstrate strategic hiring-manager partnership and consultative recruiting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required; a degree in a scientific or life sciences field is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with senior executives, scientific leaders, and other high-level stakeholders.

  • Contract is expected to last 12 months, with potential for extension and/or future conversion based on business needs.
