The role involves managing program logistics, staff supervision, and community outreach, while ensuring safety, administering information, and maintaining registration data. A bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience are required, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Leisure Services or related field and one year of experience or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certifications; Driver's License valid in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and plans activities, events, and programs for adults 55+ and County residents.
• Oversees logistics for program sites and supervises staff and participants.
• Assists with program administration and distribution of information.
• Attends meetings and provides input to staff.
• Assesses community needs and identifies new programs.
• Manages program information in the registration database.
• Promotes programs via social media, newsletters, flyers, and events.
• Monitors safety and budget within the assigned unit.
