Job summary

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) seeks a Records Management Group (RMG) Senior Advisor to oversee complex, multi-stakeholder projects and provide legislative liaison support. The role requires strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to supervise staff and manage risks across diverse programs.

The position supports modernization initiatives for DFPS case management systems and may require travel within Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required.
• At least five years of professional experience in records management or project management.
• Experience with legislative session initiatives preferred.
• Experience across programs and divisions.

Responsibilities

• Initiate enterprise-scale projects and coordinate with executive staff.
• Coordinate activities with other state agencies and partners.
• Develop and implement communication plans and present at meetings.
• Oversee multiple projects and manage schedules, costs, risks.
• Testify before legislative groups on project status.
• Supervise staff as needed.
