Job summary
HOERBIGER Service Inc. in Houston seeks an experienced Reciprocating Compressor Specialist to join our service and repair team.
You will act as the shop's technical expert for repairs, overhauls, troubleshooting, and inspections of reciprocating compressors, collaborating with engineering, customer service, purchasing, and operations to ensure high quality and safe outcomes. The ideal candidate has 15–20 years of combined shop and field experience with reciprocating compressors, strong knowledge
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15-20 years combined shop and field experience with reciprocating compressors.
- Extensive teardown, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and reassembly experience.
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with major compressor equipment brands preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical specialist for reciprocating compressor repairs and overhauls.
- Assemble, disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair reciprocating compressors and related components.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mechanics and shop personnel.
- Support root cause analysis, repair recommendations, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure project execution.
- Ensure service documentation and repair photographs are entered into company systems.
- Assist with identifying, tagging, labeling, and tracking parts during the repair process.
- Promote safe work practices and adherence to company quality standards.
- Share industry knowledge to strengthen shop capabilities.
