Job summary

NEOTech in Westborough, MA is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform incoming inspection of materials and assemblies, ensuring adherence to IPC-600/IPC-6110 requirements and ESD handling standards. The role involves testing, disposition decisions, and MRB management.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma with 2-3 years related experience, familiarity with XRF testing, and the ability to train others while supporting ISO quality systems.

• Experience with IPC standards and electronic manufacturing systems preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while handling multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of mechanical inspection equipment and IPC-A-600.”

Responsibilities

• Adhere to ESD requirements and board handling.
• Perform visual, mechanical and part identification inspection on received products.
• Apply IPC-600 & IPC-6110 requirements for PCB validation on drawings/specifications.
• Identify and disposition defective items per procedures.
• Test lead-free components for compliance using XRF.
• Manage quality purges through OCuity system.
• Train coworkers in fast-track incoming inspection for AVL approval.
• Investigate non-conforming material using data books and internet.
• Organize MRB and post-MRB disposition.
• Control and maintain MRB BPM messages and resolve discrepancies.
• Chair MRB as required.
• Support ISO standards across OnCore's Quality Management Systems.
• Support site 6S objectives.
