Job summary

A leading defense technology firm in California, MD is seeking a Sr. Software Developer specializing in real-time simulation and development lab work. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in C++ and object-oriented software development. In this role, you'll design and maintain critical software components for advanced modeling and simulation projects. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and significant relevant experience, as well as the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• 9 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field.
• Strong experience in object-oriented software development, primarily in C++.
• Hands-on experience using Git (branching, merging, conflict resolution).
• Proficiency in Linux command-line environments (Bash).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a collaborative team setting.
• Current or active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain software modules for the JSE synthetic environment.
• Implement C++/C software features supporting constructive entities.
• Evaluate and review C++ code for high-quality designs.
• Support training, troubleshooting, and operational use of JSE components.
