Job summary

Propwr is seeking a Senior Real Time Engineer to lead real-time monitoring and rapid incident response for its power generation fleet. You’ll analyze live and historical data, guide diagnostics, and craft action plans to maximize equipment availability.

You will mentor Real Time Engineers, drive RCA efforts, and collaborate with field operations, engineering, and leadership to improve monitoring and reliability processes. This role is onsite in Houston, with a focus on safety and uptime.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
5+ years of experience in field operations or real time engineering, preferably in power generation or energy operations.
Advanced understanding of power generation equipment and operational monitoring.
Experience with data visualization and monitoring platforms such as Power BI, Grafana, Sophia, and multi generator controller visualization tools.

Responsibilities

Lead real-time monitoring and proactive intervention for power generation equipment and balance-of-plant systems to support safe operations and maximize availability.
Analyze real-time and historical data using monitoring/visualization platforms to assess equipment health, detect anomalies, and reduce downtime.
Serve as the senior technical escalation resource for complex troubleshooting and operational events; bridge communication between field operations and engineering to ensure timely resolution.
Lead and document Root Cause Analyses (RCA), drive corrective and preventive actions, and track recurrence to improve long-term reliability.
Track and trend fleet and site parameters, identify performance deviations and reliability risks, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Actively participate in incident response by coordinating with field teams, troubleshooting operational issues, and executing corrective measures to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
