Qualifications

• 7+ years delivering enterprise-class applications with backend focus
• Proficient in TypeScript, Java or Scala and API design
• Experience with scalable microservices architectures and containerization
• Strong data modeling with relational and NoSQL databases
• Ability to integrate AI/LLM models in production systems
• Solid knowledge of OOP, algorithms, testing (TDD/unit/integration) and CI/CD
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Own the real-time portal content decision system used by Credit Karma members
• Architect and evolve the targeting engine for millisecond-level responses
• Champion AI-native personalization and integration into the platform
• Lead end-to-end tech initiatives across multiple systems and layers
• Build reusable tooling and testing infra to accelerate deployment
• Provide design reviews and mentorship to senior engineers
• Address technical debt and tooling gaps to boost productivity
