Caterpillar is seeking a seasoned real-time embedded software engineer to design, develop and test software that directly interfaces with hardware in our industrial products. The role centers on low-level C code, device drivers and hardware interfacing, with hands-on development and production deployment responsibilities.

You will collaborate across hardware and software teams, debug with oscilloscopes, and manage code with Git. A Bachelor's in CE/EE/CS and 5–8 years of experience are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer/ Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 5-8 years of real-time embedded systems experience.
• Proficient in ANSI C; Git version control.
• Experience writing device drivers and hardware interfacing (SPI/I2C).
• Ability to use oscilloscopes for debugging.
