Job summary

TTM Technologies - Aerospace & Defense Sector in Farmingdale, NY seeks a Staff Real-Time Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for radar and surveillance systems. The candidate should have DoD clearance eligibility (Security Clearance) and US citizenship.

The role focuses on modern C++, RTOS, embedded Linux, and HW/SW co-design while collaborating with a talented Radar team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• 15+ years of related experience in embedded software and real-time systems.
• Expertise with modern C++ and Real Time Operating Systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Git Bash, Jira, Artifactory).
• Familiarity with HW/SW co-design (drivers, interrupts, DMA).
• Experience with software architecture patterns and real-time embedded systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C++, Linux (PetaLinux), and RTOS.
• Support software integrated into embedded systems to meet standards.
• Create verification plans, tests, and environments; document results.
• Define architecture and document interfaces between components.
• Analyze system data: timing and bus bandwidth.
• Present at reviews and customer meetings; support cost/schedule inputs.
