Job summary

TrustYou seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own the end-to-end data infrastructure and AI-native engineering efforts. You will architect scalable, real-time data systems, build robust pipelines, and drive AI-assisted development using Claude Code to accelerate delivery.

You will mentor junior engineers, implement testing/monitoring, and collaborate across a global, remote-friendly team. Strong expertise in Kafka and ClickHouse is essential, with Python/SQL proficiency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years specifically focused on Data Engineering.
• Deep technical expertise with Kafka (Producers, Consumers, Stream Processing) for real-time architectures.
• Strong experience with OLAP databases; ClickHouse preferred.
• Fluent in Python and SQL for complex data manipulation and system building.
• Willingness to embrace highly agentic AI-assisted development with Claude Code.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Significant experience with open-source tools and modern data stack technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and a transparent, feedback-driven work environment.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the architecture of complex data systems prioritizing scalability and maintainability.
• Design and optimize production-grade data pipelines with real-time streaming focus.
• Drive Spec-Driven Development (SDD) using OpenSpec or GitHub Spec Kit for high-quality AI code generation.
• Orchestrate agentic AI workflows using Claude Code and MCP for rapid scaling of data infrastructure.
• Own system components and solve deep technical challenges independently.
• Implement rigorous testing and monitoring to ensure data integrity.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural reviews.
