ManpowerGroup client is seeking a Senior Java/Python Backend Engineer to join the team as a Software Engineer 4 - Contingent. The role focuses on building reliable real-time data services powering AI/agentic workflows and event-driven architectures.

The backend stack relies on Java and Python, with Spring WebFlux for reactive processing, and uses Kafka and Flink to manage streaming data pipelines and ingestion. You will contribute to API design and data workflows, working across teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• 4+ years of Java experience with Spring/Spring Boot.
• 2+ years of Python backend development.
• Deep understanding of reactive programming and Spring WebFlux.
• Experience with Kafka for event-driven architectures and Flink for streaming data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services processing real-time data streams.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs using Java and Python for data workflows.
• Implement reactive, nonblocking services with Spring WebFlux for high throughput.
• Work with Kafka and Flink to build streaming pipelines and processing logic.
• Collaborate on AI/agentic backend components where applicable.
