Job summary

Empowered Staffing LLC in Skokie, IL, seeks an experienced paralegal to support acquisitions and other corporate and real estate transactions. You will manage diligence, closing processes, entity records, and help keep deadlines organized from start to finish.

You will coordinate with internal teams and outside counsel, assist with formation, governance, and annual reporting, and maintain filing and version-control practices across legal documents and closing sets.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate setting.
• Strong real estate and transactional process knowledge, with CRE experience preferred.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, financing, leasing, or private equity deals.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple deals and deadlines.
• Strong drafting, proofreading, and redlining abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments.
• Excellent communication with attorneys and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign; data-room skills.

Responsibilities

• Support acquisitions, financings, refinancings, JVs, management agreements through closing.
• Maintain transaction checklists, calendars, and status reports; follow deadlines.
• Prepare and circulate transaction documents, signature pages, consents, and closing binds.
• Manage document execution and signature tracking; keep final copies.
• Coordinate with internal teams, outside counsel, lenders, title companies, brokers.
• Assist with entity formation, governance, annual reporting, and registered-agent matters.
• Maintain org charts, entity records, and closing sets with proper filing and version control.
• Track contractual obligations, renewal and notice dates, and deadlines.
