Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking a Senior Portfolio Accountant to join the Real Estate Systems Implementation Group (RESIG) in Chicago or related offices. You will contribute to client relationships, prepare and review financial statements, and manage general ledger and capital activity, with mentorship to junior staff.

The role requires 3+ years in fund accounting for financial services clients, and confirms expertise with MRI or Yardi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required.
• 3+ years of experience in fund accounting and/or assurance serving Financial Services clients.
• Prior experience at a public accounting firm is preferred.
• Experience using Yardi and/or MRI

Responsibilities

• Contribute toward a team covering one or more client relationships
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Statement of Investments, Statement of Operations, Statement of Cash Flows, and Notes to Financial Statements
• Prepare general ledger and work paper files for accuracy and completeness, including capital activity, investment activity, income, and expense accruals
• Prepare Partner Capital reports including Partner P&L
• Prepare and calculate monthly interest accruals, management fees and capital allocations
• Calculate capital call and distribution notices, sources/uses of cash, and investor notices
• Reconcile cash balances daily for multiple accounts
• Calculate quarter end final and estimated NAVs
• Support the year-end audit process, in collaboration with the team, client, and auditors
• Train and mentor junior staff
