Job summary

Bank of America seeks an experienced Credit Risk professional to manage complex consumer real estate credit risk, including first lien mortgage and home equity portfolios. You will oversee risk parameters, support credit approvals, and provide senior leadership with risk insights and policy guidance.

The role requires deep expertise in credit risk oversight, policy execution, and cross-functional collaboration with business and regulatory partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of complex client credit experience, preferably commercial or ultra-high-net-worth
• Experience underwriting and approving highly complex residential mortgage and home equity transactions
• Strong ability to analyze complex income structures, assets and collateral
• Extensive knowledge of consumer real estate credit policy, regulatory requirements and risk governance
• Proven track record of identifying, escalating and mitigating credit risk across loan lifecycle

Responsibilities

• Set or oversee risk parameter governance for credit risk and ensure adherence to risk appetite
• Support or oversee the credit approval process and manage portfolio performance and asset quality
• Develop credit risk reporting and monitor key indicators of credit quality for senior management
• Ensure policy adherence and due diligence by first-line credit staff within risk appetite
• Collaborate with business, legal, compliance and regulators on credit risk issues and policy changes
