Job summary

Nevada HAND, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting across corporate entities and Tenant Receivables in Las Vegas, NV.

You will partner with the Controller to manage payroll support and ensure timely, accurate financial data in accordance with policy. Responsibilities include supervising tenant receivables, coordinating with Property Management on relocations, preparing GAAP-compliant statements, and supporting annual audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a supervisory role.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and ability to research accounting issues.
• Previous experience with non-profit organizations preferred.
• Previous experience with construction, real estate development, property management, LIHTC programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting for all corporate entities; ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
• Prepare financial statements per GAAP and policy.
• Manage tenant receivables and housing payments; ensure postings are timely.
• Review and resolve ledger discrepancies; coordinate with management teams.
• Perform Yardi cash reconciliations, issue checks, and intercompany transfers.
• Support relocation accounting for rehabs with Property Management & Resident Services.
• Monitor and improve accounting processes; identify automation opportunities.
• Assist with annual audits and consolidate audit packages.
• Support payroll processing and accuracy in ADP.
• Assist with system implementations, policy updates, or process docs.
• Prepare and file year-end 1099s for all entities.
