Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to manage financial statements for assigned communities in Columbus, OH. This role focuses on real estate and property accounting within a complex operating environment.

You will collaborate with lenders, investors, regulators, and internal teams, participate in budgeting, audits, and process improvements, and build expertise in financial reporting and operational accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant real estate accounting experience.
• Experience preparing journal entries and reviewing financial statements.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Knowledge of HUD, tax credit, public housing, affordable housing, or real estate accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements for assigned communities.
• Perform reconciliations, variance analysis, journal entry review, and financial reporting corrections.
• Partner with lenders, investors, syndicators, regulators, and internal stakeholders on reporting and inquiries.
• Review audits and tax returns for assigned properties.
• Assist with annual budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Support internal control initiatives and process improvement projects.
