Brookfield Residential in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant to handle monthly accounting, job cost management and financial reporting for land projects and related entities. You will evaluate performance, strengthen internal controls, support JV reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across departments.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, CPA or CPA-track, and strong Excel skills with proven full-cycle accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required; CPA or CPA-track a plus.
• Experience in financial reporting and working papers, full-cycle and job cost accounting.
• Developed business acumen with strong work ethic and goal-oriented mindset.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Record and monitor sales, cost of sales, land acquisition, and accruals.
• Monitor, record, and reconcile cash activity including wires and draws.
• Track property taxes and prepare payments.
• Prepare consolidation, elimination, and month-end closing entries.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and working capital.
• Collaborate with internal departments on POs, budgets, and reclasses.
• Liaise with auditors and provide requested information.
