Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Senior Accountant in Plainview, New York, to review revenues and expenses, examine general ledger postings, and coordinate with AR/AP to ensure timely postings. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably with residential real estate exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 4+ years of public or private accounting experience; residential real estate exposure preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, problem solver and strong work ethics.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; professional behavior in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Review revenues and expenses for accuracy, and examine general ledger postings and rent rolls.
• Coordinate with Receivable/Payable personnel to ensure timely posting for all transactions.
• Prepare supporting schedules for balance sheet and P&L accounts.
