Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Lead/Principal Reactor Physics & Neutronics Engineer in Houston to establish and lead the reactor physics capability. You will guide neutron transport analyses, core design support, and safety-oriented modeling while mentoring engineers across multiple projects in a growing organization.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of hands-on reactor physics experience, strong leadership, and experience with licensing-related analyses.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, or related field.
10+ years of relevant reactor physics and neutronics experience.
Proven leadership of complex technical projects and mentoring.
Experience in nuclear safety analysis and licensing support.

Responsibilities

Lead reactor-physics and neutronics analyses to support design, safety, and development.
Develop and apply computational models for neutron transport, depletion, reactivity, and shielding.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to capability development.
Ensure technical work adheres to codes, standards, and quality requirements.
