Airswift is seeking a Lead/Principal Reactor Physics & Neutronics Engineer in Houston to establish and lead the reactor physics capability. You will guide neutron transport analyses, core design support, and safety-oriented modeling while mentoring engineers across multiple projects in a growing organization.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of hands-on reactor physics experience, strong leadership, and experience with licensing-related analyses.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant reactor physics and neutronics experience.
  • Proven leadership of complex technical projects and mentoring.
  • Experience in nuclear safety analysis and licensing support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead reactor-physics and neutronics analyses to support design, safety, and development.
  • Develop and apply computational models for neutron transport, depletion, reactivity, and shielding.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to capability development.
  • Ensure technical work adheres to codes, standards, and quality requirements.
