Senior React Web Developer - US Remote - Contract to Perm

Role Summary: As a Senior React Web Developer, you will lead the development of world-class web applications, collaborating with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders from concept to launch. You should have deep expertise in modern front-end technologies, including React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript, and be capable of mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices.

This role is a contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time employment based on performance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development of scalable, responsive, and accessible web applications using React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Translate complex requirements and UX/UI designs into technical solutions
• Architect front-end applications with maintainability, performance, and security in mind
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Enforce coding standards and conduct peer reviews
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to align technical delivery with business goals
• Stay updated with emerging front-end technologies and advocate for continuous improvement

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience building production React.js applications
• 2+ years experience with Next.js
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel)
• Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Knowledge of front-end state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API)
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and cross-browser compatibility
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong Git skills and CI/CD practices
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working directly with U.S.-based clients
• Eligible to work in the U.S. and within U.S. time zones

Nice to Have:

• Experience with component libraries like Material-UI, Chakra UI, Tailwind CSS
• Experience building PWAs
• Exposure to backend services (Node.js, Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with performance tools like Lighthouse, Sentry, New Relic
• Experience in a digital agency setting
