Job summary

Erias Ventures is seeking a Software Engineer II in Annapolis, MD to design, develop, and optimize user interfaces with ReactJS, Node.js, and RESTful APIs. You will translate wireframes into scalable, responsive UI components and collaborate with analysts, engineers, and mission stakeholders to meet complex requirements.

You will ensure accessibility standards, participate in code reviews, and drive UI performance improvements while staying current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or four years of additional SWE experience
• 14+ years of SWE experience preferred for security clearance path
• Experience designing high-performance web-based graph visualization UIs for large datasets
• Strong UI development skills with ReactJS and automated tests (eslint, jest)
• Experience gathering user needs, creating wireframes, mockups, and translating them into frontend code
• Node.js & Express.js: scalable server-side apps and microservices
• RESTful APIs design, implementation, and consumption
• Knowledge of Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards implementation
• Familiar with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Ability to work independently on small teams and present to leadership

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements to derive software design and performance targets
• Collaborate with analysts, system engineers, and software engineers to derive requirements
• Develop software by analyzing performance standards and data flows; investigate problems
• Design, code, and modify software to add features and meet standards
• Integrate software into new or modified systems
• Write or review software documentation and contribute to process improvements
• Oversee one or more software teams and ensure delivery within process constraints
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for components
• Perform quality control on team products
• Coordinate installation and monitor operation to meet specs
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices
• Seek opportunities to optimize UI performance and UX
