Job summary

Keet Mobile, a React Native and Expo based peer-to-peer messaging app for iOS and Android, seeks a developer to own features end to end—from UI/UX implementation to integrating the P2P core APIs. Build and polish features across chat, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing and identity backup, while integrating push notifications, camera, biometrics and background tasks.

You will profile and optimize performance on real devices, write tests, and collaborate with design and product

Qualifications

• Proven experience with React Native and Redux for state management.
• Strong JavaScript and ES6+ proficiency.
• Experience with WebSockets and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of native languages (Swift/Kotlin) is a plus.
• Experience working with a remote team.
• Interest in modernizing and optimizing mobile or web applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and polish features across chat, voice and video calls, media sharing, device pairing and identity backup.
• Integrate native platform capabilities such as push notifications, camera, biometrics and background tasks on iOS and Android.
• Profile and optimise performance on real devices, including startup time, long chats, media handling, battery and network use.
• Write unit and end to end tests, and help keep releases stable through CI and crash reporting.
• Work closely with the core P2P, design and product teams, and review code with a high bar for quality.
