Job summary

DaySmart Software in Austin, TX, seeks a Senior React Native Engineer to lead new feature development and maintain the mobile app. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and ship high-quality code that powers Time To Pet’s real-time services for pet sitters and dog walkers.

This role requires 5+ years in React Native, Expo experience, strong communication, and the ability to own projects end-to-end in a fast-paced, hybrid environment with optional remote work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years developing mobile applications with React Native.
• Experience with Expo is required.
• Strong communication and collaboration in fast-paced environments.
• Able to navigate large codebases at scale.
• Driven and self-disciplined with end-to-end ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality new features with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Maintain the existing code base by fixing bugs and making improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with development team to ensure the successful delivery of software features and updates.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, with a focus on best practices and coding standards.
• Map real-world customer issues to product solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and other collaborative activities to ensure the quality and consistency of our codebase.
• Contribute to the development of our technical roadmap, with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and growth.
• Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in mobile application development, and continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
