Job summary

Anduril Industries in the Washington, DC area is seeking a Software Engineer in Strategic Defense to own front-end decisions for a team of 30+ engineers, shaping end-to-end systems for command and control, autonomy, and missile defense. This role requires React experience and strong TypeScript skills to deliver robust, realtime interfaces in a defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
• Proficiency with React and TypeScript for web applications.
• Empathize with end-users and balance UX with engineering constraints.
• Experience with real-time user interfaces using ReactJS or similar.
• Ability to navigate complex systems and established code bases quickly.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop front-end capabilities and tooling for Anduril's Lattice OS to support command and control and missile defense missions.
• Collaborate with customers, product designers, and other engineering teams to shape new software products and maximize value.
• Build, test, deploy, and demonstrate mission-critical UI code in a fast feedback loop with end users.
• Travel up to 25% to participate in customer events and real-world deployments.
• Contribute to existing services across Anduril, building reusable components for multiple product lines.
