1647 is recruiting for a Senior React Software Engineer to join an oil & gas client in Houston. The role requires hands-on leadership, delivering high-quality React.js features and architecture for scalable front-end systems.

The ideal candidate has extensive JS expertise, experience with Docker/Kubernetes, and a track record of mentoring developers while aligning technical solutions with business needs. Onsite work is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of ReactJS development.
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.
• Thorough understanding of container-based deployment principles, including Docker and deployment to Kubernetes.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Server-side development with Express and high-performance APIs.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Learn our client's business and propose new solutions to problems.
• Lead a team of developers and be responsible for the product's software quality.
• Developing new user-facing features using React.js.
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code.
• Mentor developers to assist in developing/improving their skill set.
