Job summary

University of Nebraska Medical Center seeks a Senior Registered Behavior Technician to provide direct 1:1 behavioral therapy and crisis intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders in an on-site setting in Omaha, NE. The role includes supervising junior technicians and assisting in treatment plan implementation under a BCBA/BCBA-D.

Required: 1 year of relevant experience and RBT license or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience implementing behavior analytic interventions in an education, instructional, or therapeutic setting.
• Licensed as a Registered Behavioral Technician or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date.
• Must be able to prepare for and collect data and enter data into graphs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Ability to remain calm and patient during challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, 1:1 assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention supports to children with autism spectrum or related disorders.
• Provide first level supervision to Associate Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians.
• Lead day-to-day functions of assigned cases and draft patient documentation under supervision.
• All interventions occur through treatment plans prepared by a BCBA or BCBA-D/Licensed Psychologist.
