Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel LLC is seeking a Senior Shift Manager Raw Materials in Cleveland, OH. This role oversees receipt, storage, and movement of raw materials to support steelmaking operations, coordinates deliveries, and drives continuous improvement across the materials handling function.

The position requires strong analytical skills, leadership experience in a heavy industrial setting, and proficiency with Tabware and ERP systems. A related degree is preferred, with relocation not provided.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of manufacturing/steelmaking/logistics experience with coordination or leadership.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication across multiple levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt, storage, and movement of raw materials to support uninterrupted steelmaking operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and consumption to optimize costs and meet production requirements.
• Manage BOF flux deliveries to meet production requirements.
• Prepare alloy purchases and enter in Tabware in a timely manner.
• Prepare and present monthly scrap buy requirements to Procurement and enter purchases in Tabware.
• Collaborate with transportation providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve supply or logistics issues.
• Lead Material Handling unit employees, ensure safety, training, and weekly scheduling.
• Analyze data to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and process improvement.
• Support capital, maintenance, and improvement projects related to raw material handling systems.
