Job summary

Qualifications

• The position requires a valid California Driver's License (CDL).

Responsibilities

• Oversees safety oversight for design, construction, and operation of rail transit systems.
• Performs complex engineering tasks requiring high-level analytical and technical analysis.
• Conducts specialized investigations (rail safety, security studies, accidents, rule makings, general orders).
• Leads routine activities such as reviewing safety plans, system security plans, and operating rules; inspects transit construction for safety conformance.
• Provides technical advice in Commission proceedings and may testify as an expert witness.
