Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and direct the work of a group of Utilities Engineers and other professional staff responsible for the safety oversight of rail transit systems.
• Perform safety certification during design and construction, accident investigations, audits, and safety reviews of transit operations and maintenance.
• Travel within California, coordinating with RTSB and updating procedures as needed.
