Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Rail & Transit Systems Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary rail and transit projects, including rolling stock fleets and automated people movers.

You will act as primary client contact, ensuring services and deliverables meet budget and schedule while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires deep rail systems engineering knowledge, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to manage diverse teams across

Qualifications

• Substantial professional years of relevant experience in the rail and transit industry.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with rail and transit vehicle and systems engineering, maintenance, operation, and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Provide rail vehicle and systems engineering, project management and business support to rail and transit assignments.
• Support office and field activities for rail and vehicle systems, including specifications, O&M requirements, and design reviews.
• Perform technical reviews of proposed designs and upgrades for transit and rail fleets; prepare disposition comments.
• Provide oversight to junior engineers and develop engineering cost estimates for subsystems.
• Identify and resolve design and integration issues on transit projects.
• Coordinate relationships with clients, contractors, and staff; participate in meetings and public hearings.
