Job summary

Cordoba Corporation, a leading civil engineering firm in California, seeks a Senior Transit Engineer with at least 10 years of civil/rail experience to lead multidisciplinary rail projects. The role involves project management, design, cost estimation, QC, and active client engagement in the Transportation Sector.

Hybrid work with 2 days remote and 3 days onsite in Los Angeles, CA. PE license preferred; EIT acceptable. Salary range reflects senior leadership responsibilities and market norms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in railway engineering and managing complex multidisciplinary railway projects.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification acceptable.
• Skilled in technical writing, client communication, and public presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team on railway projects.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager or discipline lead for railroad or civil design projects and coordinate with other offices.
• Lead or participate in marketing and contracting activities.
• Manage scope, budget, and schedule; develop design criteria, specs, project guides, notes, and cost estimates.
• Perform railroad, transit, and civil engineering/design planning, analysis, and design tasks.
• Lead and perform QC reviews of projects.
• Support PMs with client and stakeholder visits, site visits, inspections.
• Attend industry events and represent the firm.
• Mentor younger staff and provide technical leadership across disciplines.
• Travel periodically for client/site visits and inspections.
