Job summary

Consertus is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator – Rail & Transit to support Los Angeles Metro and major transportation projects in Southern California. You will develop, review, and reconcile cost estimates across the project lifecycle, working with multidisciplinary teams to provide reliable cost data for decisions.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in public infrastructure estimating, extensive exposure to Design-Build/CMGC methods, and strong Excel data analysis.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of progressive construction cost estimating experience for public infrastructure.
• Experience with Design-Build or CM delivery methods and large-scale programs.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze cost data and document estimates.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive construction cost estimates from concept through documents.
• Prepare estimates aligned with WBS, funding, and bid packages.
• Maintain Basis of Estimate with scope, quantities, pricing sources, and risks.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs; support change orders.
