Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct management experience in transfer, Load Adjust, derailment, or environmental services operations
• Knowledge of railcar loading and tie-down operations
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance
• Knowledge of AAR Rules and trans-loading processes and procedures
• Current ROW credentials, 40-hour HAZMAT, Tank Car, and state permit knowledge
• Valid driver’s license and compliance with DOT regulations

Responsibilities

• Determines goals for the area and staff to meet customer service needs
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees
• Schedules personnel to respond to customer needs
• Develops and enforces safety measures and trains managers on equipment and site supervision
• Ensures preventive maintenance and repair of equipment
• Reviews costs to maintain profitable operations
• Plans and assists in sales market development and customer meetings
• Hires, trains, and evaluates staff; ensures proper orientation and training
