Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a Rail Project Manager to lead freight rail, track, terminal, intermodal, and related civil infrastructure projects in Texas. You will guide multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction support, manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client relationships.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Class I railroads and clients, developing documentation, and mentoring engineers and junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer license.
• 10+ years of rail/related civil infrastructure experience.
• Experience as PM on rail/transport infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with MicroStation, OpenRail Designer, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of freight rail and related infrastructure projects.
• Define and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Serve as primary contact for railroads, clients, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Oversee development of reports, design plans, criteria, specs, estimates, and schedules.
• Provide quality oversight and coordinate QC reviews.
• Coordinate field assessments and construction-phase support.
• Mentor engineers and junior staff.
• Support proposal development and business development initiatives.
