Job summary

Akima is seeking an experienced Engineer/Conductor for on-site work at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. This role involves the safe operation, security, and movement of trains, requiring compliance with various safety regulations and effective management of crew and cargo.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a Conductor.
• Minimum of two years’ commercial railroad experience or three years’ government rail crew experience.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment drug test and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the train operates within safety rules and manage speed restrictions.
• Control movement of train using hand signals and radios.
• Manage the makeup of the train and switch cars as needed.
