Qualifications

• 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a hospital diagnostic Imaging Department.
• In-depth understanding of radiographic procedures for various patient age groups.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and adapt radiographic procedures as needed.
• Strong leadership skills to guide radiology staff and schedule work.
• Thorough understanding of radiation safety protocols and regulations.
• Ability to assess needs of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Alignment with Tampa General Hospital mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Lead or perform radiographic procedures according to established protocols for patients of all age groups, with minimal supervision.
• Exercise independent judgment in applying ionizing radiation techniques for radiologic diagnoses.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and protection during radiographic procedures.
• Lead and guide junior staff in performing radiologic procedures and assist in scheduling and assigning work.
• Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and hospital policies.
• Assist radiologists and physicians in conducting radiographic exams and provide technical support.
• Assist in orienting new staff and evaluating performance.
• Document all radiographic procedures accurately.
