A leading medical facility in Tampa is seeking a Radiology Tech 2 to perform various radiographic procedures in the Emergency Department. This full-time role requires a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registry eligibility, and current BLS certification. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients' needs and conducting procedures while ensuring compliance with all safety protocols. Adaptability to variable shifts is also essential.

Qualifications

Job description

Radiology Tech 2 - Radiology - Emergency Department

Under the direction of a Radiologist, Administrative Director, Radiology Team Leader or Radiology Services Manager, performs radiographic procedures according to protocols established for various age groups of patients, at a technical level requiring minimal supervision. Performs a wide variety of general radiographic procedures, including, but not limited to, special complex portables, special contrast procedures, Ortho C‑arm OR, Neuro C‑arm OR and/or mammography. These technical procedures require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as required. Assesses the age‑specific needs of the patients. Performs job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program from an accredited school.
• ARRT registry eligible.
• Current BLS certification.
• Florida licensure: temporary Florida licensure or will have 90 days to become temporarily or regularly licensed to practice as a Radiologic Technologist by the State of Florida.
• Will not be able to perform exams prior to evidence of licensure.

Primary Location: Tampa

Work Locations: TGH Main Campus

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Thursday, Variable shift, 12:30‑22:30

Minimum Salary: $25.54 per hour
