Description

The Senior Radiology Technologist performs imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patients' unique and/or age-related needs. Utilizes clinical knowledge and judgment regarding proper positioning, radiation dose calibration, and patient treatment needed to produce high-quality images. The Senior Radiology Technologist also performs procedures in at least three specialty areas as identified by the department. Performs all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator, following ALARA principles.

Required Qualifications

• Education meeting certification, license, or registration requirements.
• Oregon Radiographer License upon hire.
• National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• At least 2 years of Radiology Tech experience.
