Job summary

Alameda Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist at multiple levels to perform diagnostic imaging in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging. The role requires the ability to operate imaging equipment, select proper technical factors, and maintain PACS documentation.

This position emphasizes radiation safety, patient positioning, and collaboration with physicians. Training is provided to align with department needs and licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of continuous recent experience as a radiologic technologist II.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ARRT certification or equivalent approved by CA/state.
• California Fluoroscopy Permit.
• If mammography is performed, mammography certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures and fluoroscopy with supervision.
• Produce radiographs and position patients with immobilization devices as needed.
• Select technical factors for each patient and operate imaging equipment.
• Develop film and utilize PACS system for image management.
• Ensure radiation safety and maintain cleanliness and records.
